Job Title: Senior Electrical Test Engineer
Location: Irvine CA
Job Description:
- A candidate with more hands-on experience and/or worked in a repair station in troubleshooting returned units that are in-service.
- Develop and execute test plans for electrical systems and embedded systems.
- Perform functional environmental and reliability testing in accordance with aerospace standards (e.g. DO-160 MIL-STD).
- Collaborate with design and manufacturing teams to ensure testability and product quality.
- Analyze test data troubleshoot failures and recommend design or process improvements.
- Maintain and calibrate test equipment and ensure adherence to safety protocols.
- Document test results and prepare technical reports for internal and customer review.
- Support qualification and certification efforts for aerospace products.
- Participate in root cause analysis and corrective action processes for aircraft electrical systems
- Do Open Box Troubleshooting: ability to observe and test circuit boards to identify portions that are not functioning as intended
- Write and submit Engineering Investigation Reports/FARs
- Develop troubleshooting tests for emerging issues with new and existing product lines
- Access repair shop data and interpret the test findings and failure observations noted on the database and on the test data sheets.
- Collect organize and interpret all component test results failure observations. SIL (System Integration Lab) testing engineering directed testing and lab analysis.
- Determine if the failure mode is a typical and may need trend monitoring.
- Bachelors degree in Electrical/Electronics/Instrumentation Engineering or related field
