Job Summary
The Director of Food & Beverage plays a pivotal leadership role in overseeing all Food & Beverage operations in a luxury hotel environment. This position is responsible for ensuring exceptional guest experience delivering financial results and upholding the highest brand standards. The role requires strong business acumen innovative thinking and the ability to inspire and lead a high-performing team across multiple outlets and banquet operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide strategic leadership and vision for all Food & Beverage operations ensuring excellence in guest service and luxury hospitality standards.
- Develop and manage annual business plans operating budgets and profit & loss statements to achieve financial targets.
- Implement cost-control measures while maximizing revenue opportunities and profitability.
- Drive innovation in menu development dining concepts and guest experiences in collaboration with culinary and service leaders.
- Oversee restaurants bars banquets and in-room dining operations with consistent focus on quality efficiency and luxury service standards.
- Lead mentor and develop a multicultural team of managers and staff fostering a culture of excellence accountability and continuous growth.
- Ensure compliance with health safety and hygiene regulations.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with guests business partners and vendors.
- Collaborate with Sales & Marketing and other departments to align Food & Beverage offerings with the overall business strategy of the hotel.
Candidate Profile
- Proven senior leadership experience in Food & Beverage within a luxury hotel.
- Strong financial management skills with demonstrated experience in preparing and managing budgets and P/L statements.
- Exceptional leadership communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to inspire and lead diverse teams.
- Innovative mindset with a passion for delivering world-class dining and beverage experiences.
- Strong business acumen with a successful track record of achieving financial and operational goals.
- Fluent in both Japanese and English with strong business communication skills (written and spoken).
- Prior working experience in a luxury hotel in Japan is highly preferred.
- Bachelors degree in hospitality management or a related field preferred.
