Job Role Description
Responsible for developing and maintaining production schedules that align customer orders with available resources ensuring products are manufactured and delivered on time. This role coordinates with production procurement warehouse and quality teams to balance workloads optimize machine and labor utilization and respond quickly to changes in demand or production capacity. The Production Scheduler monitors progress against the plan troubleshoots potential bottlenecks and ensures that all scheduling decisions support efficiency cost-effectiveness and customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop maintain and adjust daily weekly and monthly production schedules.
- Collaborate with production procurement warehouse and maintenance teams to ensure schedules are realistic and achievable.
- Monitor production progress and adjust schedules to minimize downtime and meet delivery deadlines.
- Review work orders and confirm material and resource availability before production starts.
- Communicate schedule changes promptly to all affected teams.
- Maintain accurate scheduling data in ERP/MRP systems.
- Prepare and distribute production performance and capacity utilization reports.
- Participate in process improvement initiatives to enhance scheduling efficiency.
