Job Summary

1. Lead and collaborate with team members and stakeholders to ensure quality and timely project deliverables.
2. Provide expert technical engineering solutions and advice ensuring that analysis and design tasks undertaken meet appropriate technical standards and the requirements of the client and SMEC.
3. Manage opportunities and projects effectively to meet required standards and deadlines.
4. Contribute to the commercial success and business development of projects and the team.
5. Build SMECs reputation as a leading consultant with a strong reputation for innovation technical excellence quality and project delivery.

Qualifications:
- Bachelors Degree or higher in Electrical Engineering or Power Systems
- Need to be professional registered (local or international certification)
- Would be beneficial to have Project Management certification and experience
- Would be beneficial to be a member of an international and/or local professional engineering society (e.g. CIGRE)

Knowledge & Experience
- At least 15 years experience in High Voltage Over Head Transmission Lines (OHTL) projects
- At least 5 years experience in managing multidisciplinary design teams and responsibility for detail design and construction
- High proficiency in HV (including 400kV) OHTL design including electrical design use of industrial software like PLSCAD design layouts installation & commissioning including Civil & Structural Mechanical requirements.
- Knowledge of International transmission & distribution design standards and grid codes as well as country specific requirements in South East Asia
- Would be beneficial to have experience in International Financial Institute projects
- Would be beneficial to have experience in projects with Utility clients and Private Developers
- Would be beneficial to have experience in Consulting roles

- Willing to travel or to be based at outstation or at project site (local or overseas) as required.
- Able and willing to mentor train and guide junior staff.
