Job Description
Clarity are currently recruiting for a paediatric community nurse based in Dublin West
Responsibilities include
- Provide nursing care to a child
- Gastrostomy tube feeds via feeding pump
- Competent in all tracheostomy care changing of ties suctioning and changing tube in an emergency situation
- Management and administration of nebs and suctioning
- Monitoring for signs and symptoms of respiratory distress
- Pressure area care
- Medication Management
- Seizure management
- Care of a child with a disability
- Manage enteral feeding and medication
- Assist with activities of daily living (ADLs)
- Manage seizures
- Provide play and family support
- Provide excellent evidence-based nursing care implementing all aspects of care plans based on the needs identified.
- Prioritise the needs and comfort of the client.
- Promote abilities independence and safeguard the clients interests at all times
- Work closely in partnership with family members and the clinical team
- Communicate effectively with the client family clinical team and MDT reporting on the clients clinical needs as required.
- Maintain accurate and professional clinical note
- RGN/RCN qualified
- NMBI registered
- Must have a full drivers license and car
- Previous experience in home care is an advantage
