The goal of the Inside Sales Representative (ISR) is to establish or re-establish qualify and maintain contact with small to medium-sized electrical contractors and customers to increase the sales of Caterpillar Retail products and solutions 200kw. The focus of the ISR will be on clients who are not currently doing business with Ring Power or havent done so in the past 12 months. The ISR may also provide assistance to the territory salesman on an as needed basis for existing customers. Direct mail and other promotional activities may drive customers into the branch or directly to the ISR as well as prospecting over the telephone to non-Dealer customers within the segment.
The ISR will proactively manage an account base of up to 750 accounts in an assigned territory for Retail sales using the telephone as his/her primary tool. Employing a disciplined phone call campaign ISRs will qualify accounts and quote Retails products accordingly and update the customers complete account information and begin to develop and maintain the relationship. The ISR will manage retail customers through the sales cycle including qualifying quoting and follow up as required from customer survey results.
The ISR customers are those who have purchased 0 9 pieces of equipment within the past 12 months where often times the customer may not be aware of Ring Powers capabilities. The Sales goal is to touch these customers a minimum of 12 times per year via the addition direct mail and other promotional campaigns will be utilized with assigned target client and market accounts. Customers span all Power Systems industry types (e.g. commercial residential retail healthcare public Governmental etc.). Some customers may not require Retail Caterpillar products but they can still benefit from Ring Power products product support services and other offerings. These leads will be shared within the Company CRM system accordingly.
Taking into account the diversification of the customer base and that some customers may require contact on either a weekly monthly or semi-annual basis ISRs will strive to maintain a minimum 75 sales calls per week. The ISR will meet with retail customers at the branch as needed.
ISRs will maintain accurate customer account information and opportunity assessments. This allows the targeting of specific customers and or markets for sales and promotions and the tracking of specific account and territory goals.
ISRs will promote all aspects of the Dealership and share sales leads to other salespeople accordingly.
By reviewing specifications and other documents ISRs will determine individual customers needs and provide solutions to meet them.
The ISRis the single point of contact from the Dealerto the customer. The ISRs ability to develop a strong positive relationship with his/her customers and fellow employees (PSSR/Project managers/engine sales reps) is critical to his/her success.
