The Presales Solution Engineer will play a pivotal role in the continued success of Kyriba by combining deep treasury expertise consultative sales skills and value-based business case development. This role will collaborate with current and prospective clients in the region to explore justify and realize business value from Enterprise Liquidity Management initiatives while demonstrating Kyribas treasury technology solutions.
Working closely with corporate Finance Treasury Accounting Payments and Risk Management departments the Presales Solutions Engineer will consult on strategic investments transformation initiatives and modernization efforts. This role will engage in pre-sales activities to secure new business. The position requires a mix of thought leadership change management and technical acumen to drive Kyribas market leadership.
Essential duties and responsibilities
Needs Discovery & Solution Demonstrations:
Prepare for client meetings and tailor communications to address specific business needs as part of the pre-sales process.
Understand the business and technical challenges faced by clients including relevant regulations key drivers and emerging needs.
Strategically design and deliver product demonstrations that highlight business value to secure new business.
Support the sales team in responding to the functional and technical elements of RFIs and RFPs in collaboration with the global RFP team.
Travel across the Japan sales territory to support customer engagements.
Market Engagement:
Monitor and analyze competitor activity to maintain awareness of market positioning and key differentiators.
Attend conferences and engage with Subject Matter Experts (SME) to stay current on evolving business issues regulatory requirements and technology trends.
Represent the companys product offerings at customer events seminars and field engagements.
Team Enablement:
Collaborate with internal stakeholders (e.g. global pre-sales team product) to develop and deliver enablement content including training on business challenges product positioning and solution messaging through training sessions and OJT for new pre-sales team members.
Education Experience & Skills
Education:
A Bachelor of Science in Finance Accounting or a related discipline is preferred.
Experience:
5-10 years relevant experience in a pre-sales or consulting role.
5-10 years of relevant experience in treasury cash management or corporate finance or in a technology role related to these practices.
Interpersonal Competencies:
Self-motivated with a proactive mindset.
Excellent interpersonal relationship-building skills.
Ability to collaborate cross-functionally and engage stakeholders effectively.
Ability to travel extensively (approx. 10%).
Communication & Presentation:
Strong presentation skills with the ability to convey technical and business information to diverse audiences.
Professional in written communication including emails RFP responses and reporting.
Able to develop and deliver effective messages to persuade value propositions.
Analytical & Problem Solving:
Organized and analytical capable of removing sales obstacles through creative and adaptive approaches.
Able to understand business processes financial data relationships and how data can solve business problems.
Skilled in capturing both business and technical requirements related to treasury services.
Treasury and Risk Management Expertise:
Proven track record in treasury software sales or a combination of both with strong technology awareness.
Deep understanding of corporate cash and liquidity management processes.
Professional-level knowledge of financial risk management practices related to foreign exchange and interest rate hedging.
Technology and Innovation:
Able to develop a broad understanding of clients financial and technical architecture and assess the feasibility of solutions based on emerging technologies.
Value Selling & Consulting:
Knowledge of strategic conceptual and consultative selling techniques.
Comfortable working in dynamic fast-paced environments with expanding customer bases.
Ability to represent multiple subjects and products in pre-sales conversations.
