Job Description

JOB GOAL:

To advance the colleges mission vision principles values and strategic initiatives through continuous improvement decisions.

GENERAL JOB SUMMARY:

Under direct supervision answer phone calls for the Student Services Office during peak periods. The position also involves working with confidential information.

The hours will be variable from Monday through Friday from 8 am to 5 pm. Preference will be given to those with afternoon availability during those days.

DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Answer questions via the phone regarding financial aid admissions registration and billing
  • Perform limited duties to assist students with financial aid and registration.
  • Receive and process Financial Aid and Enrollment documentation.
  • Performs other related work duties as assigned.

  • Must be enthusiastic self-motivated and energetic with the ability to meet and deal effectively with students parents college personnel and the community we serve.
  • Work efficiently and effectively in an environment that at times can be stressful and have frequent interruptions.

  • Possess strong multi-tasking skills.
  • Requires strong organizational skills good communication skills and attention to detail.

PHYSICAL ACTIVITIES WITH/WITHOUT REASONABLE ACCOMMODATION:

Position involves working in an office setting. Occasional (10-33%) standing pushing pulling and grasping. Frequent (34-66%) reaching and viewing a computer and other types of close visual work. Constant (67-100%) sitting walking repetitive motion talking and hearing.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • High School Diploma.
  • Preference given to those with call center experience.
  • Must be a Kirkwood student.
  • Must type 50 WPM.
