Makati Shangri-La Manila
Makati Shangri-La is a deluxe hotel located at the center of Manilas financial and commercial district only minutes away from the international airport. The hotel offers spacious guestrooms and suites the exclusive Horizon Club world-class restaurants and bars top-of-the-line recreational facilities complimentary broadband and Wi-Fi Internet access and premiere function rooms.
We are hiring for a Commis Chef (Shang Palace).
As a Commis Chef (Shang Palace) we rely on you to:
- Ensureawareness of the importance of good quality food and hence makeevery effort to prepare the best food possible.
- Have a thorough knowledge of the hotel and his/her kitchens facilities and personnel involved.
- Have aknowledge of food service techniques and menu contents
- Be aware of the hotel fire and safety and emergency procedures.
- Ensurethat food quality and standards are maintained at all times when preparing for restaurant and banquet functions
- Assist in food stock taking as required
- Adhereto all rules and regulations set by the management
- Contributeand workas a team in the general operations of the kitchen(s) offering to assist fellow colleagues when required
We are looking for someone who:
- Communicates and writes with fluency in English (as well as the local language)
- Is at least a Culinary College Graduate. Fresh graduates are welcome to apply.
- Has traits of being creative rational productive and a team player
- Is an action-oriented and able to adapt easily
- Can gowith extra miles to exceed colleague and guest expectations
- Is flexible and adaptable to different working locations
