You will be updated with latest job alerts via emailThe Medical Education Office within the UW School of Medicine & Public Health (UW SMPH) Office of Academic Affairs is looking for a Research Administrative Specialist to support faculty and staff in building education scholarship partnerships across SMPH and the broader University community as well as making medical education research connections at the state national and international levels while engaging faculty and staff in medical education scholarship utilizing community resources. The Research Administrative Specialist is a core member of the Community of Innovative Scholarly Research in Undergraduate Medical Education (CISR-UME) and their work is expected to contribute to a positive impact on educational outcomes for UW SMPH medical students and illuminate the connection between medical education and improvements in health for the populations of Wisconsin and beyond.
CISR-UME is designed to be a catalyst to apply rigor to educational innovations assess the educational impact of new practices and initiatives answer important research questions and create transferable knowledge to inform best educational practices. CISR will be the central hub for faculty staff and students participating in undergraduate medical education scholarship. Resources and services provided by the center will complement existing resources and fill areas of need that exist at SMPH creating a vital network of colleagues interested in medical education scholarship and building partnerships across departments and institutions with links to external resources. This position will provide critical administrative support to the CISR-UME leadership team and will report directly to the CISR-UME Director. Examples of primary tasks include:
Working collaboratively with CISR-UME leadership and research teams to manage timelines compliance resources and services for projects.
Facilitating communication within teams and between the center to ensure timelines are being met and necessary resources or services are coordinated.
Overseeing scheduling and coordinating project work plans; scheduling logistics for meetings conferences and travel.
Creating systems and platforms to monitor tracking of projects.
Managing the medical education scholarship community of practice.
Acting as primary liaison to secure outsourced services and provide necessary support.
Managing the organization auditing security and confidentiality of records and files
Developing and facilitating communications of varying complexity between internal and external stakeholders

starting salary for the position is $56112; but is negotiable based on experience and qualifications.
