Job Summary

The SBA Credit Analyst will be responsible for working closely with relationship managers and SBA loan Specialists reviewing and analyzing all types of financial and non-financial information on existing and prospective customers in accordance with the SBA Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) and WTBs credit policy.

Essential Functions:

  • Collaborate and communicate effectively with SBA loan Specialists relationship managers internal customers and credit administration.
  • Conduct thorough financial analysis of business and personal financial statements tax returns and cash flow projections.
  • Ensure all underwriting activities align with the current SBA SOP 50 10 requirements.
  • Assess borrower creditworthiness repayment capacity and collateral adequacy.
  • Stay updated on changes to SBA policies.
  • Draft clear concise and comprehensive credit memos and risk assessments with well supported recommendations.
  • Identify and escalate material issues or trends.

Related Functions:

  • Assist Relationship Managers and SBA Loan Specialist in determining eligibility and reviewing pertinent information for each request.

Qualifications:

  • Deep understanding of SBA 7(a) programs and SOP requirements.
  • At least 4 years of commercial underwriting experience including SBA.
  • Strong analytical skills and proficiency in financial modeling.
  • Demonstrated understanding of complex financial accounting and analysis.
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills including grammar and correspondence abilities.
  • Satisfactory understanding and knowledge of commercial credit policies procedures and loan systems.
  • Ability to prioritize assignments and handle multiple priorities while maintaining a high level of service to both internal and external clients.
  • Demonstrated self-motivation and initiative; ability to work effectively with individuals and groups in managing customer relationships.
  • Experience with Computer assisted financial analysis and PC-based financial models knowledge of spreadsheet applications.

Compensation:

Credit Analyst II - $79705 - $119557
Credit Analyst III- $91290 - $137012

The compensation range represents the low and high end of the base compensation range for this position located in Seattle Washington. Actual compensation will vary and may be above or below the range based on various factors including but not limited to location experience and performance. This position is eligible to participate in an applicable annual bonus plan.
