Cardiothoracic Registrar

Dunedin Hospital

Permanent Full Time

Salary Band C - $137330 - $194820

Interested in Cardiothoracic surgery as a career pathway

A position is available for a non-Cardiac trainee in our Cardiothoracic unit. You will be joining a small team that allows for excellent access to theatre time.

There is support available for training courses required for programme entry to Cardiothoracic training. This is an excellent opportunity to experience cardiothoracic surgery whilst working in a supportive environment.

About the Role

  • Keen to further develop your surgical skills Want to experience more of this field than a 3 or 4-month rotation
  • Opportunity to complete your Part 1 studies in a supportive environment
  • Opportunity to complete a required rotation in our intensive care unit.
  • As one of the three dedicated Cardiothoracic Surgery Registrars in a team of four it is expected the successful candidate will become an integral member of the service
