Job Summary
The Senior SLT will possess and develop relevant clinical knowledge in the area of Speech and Language Therapy specific to heart and lung transplant and cardiothoracic surgery. Together with SLT colleagues the Senior SLT will support the provision of a high quality efficient and evidence based SLT service to adult inpatients referred from heart and lung transplant and cardiothoracic surgery areas with communication and swallowing disorders including patients with tracheostomies and/or ventilator dependency. She/He will support the development of the heart and lung transplant and cardiothoracic surgery SLT service. The Senior SLT will work closely with the heart and lung transplant and cardiothoracic surgery MDTs to develop and deliver the service at MMUH.
