ACADEMIC REGISTRY

Assistant Academic Registrar Role: Head of Admissions Office ()

The Academic Registry is looking for a dynamic and innovative leader to assume the position of Head of the Admissions Office. Reporting to the Academic Registrar the appointee will be a member of the senior management team of the Academic Registry overseeing the recruitment of quality undergraduate students local and non-local.

Responsibilities:

  • Leadthe Admissions Office and coordinate with Faculties/Schools/Offices in formulating plans and strategies in local and non-local student recruitment and communicate with internal and external stakeholders in managing the implementation of all relevant promotional and outreach activities such as the Information Day and overseas education fairs (which requires regular travel);
  • Oversee the operations of the admission and related IT systems and communicate with the Office of Information Technology on the maintenance refinement and development of the systems or other AI tools in support of the Universitys direction in admissions;
  • Review and update existing admissions policies/regulations/procedures and compile reports for internal and external stakeholders as and when necessary;
  • Provide secretarial support to committees; and
  • Provide support to the Academic Registrar.

Requirements:

  • A good bachelors degree preferably with a higher qualification;
  • Minimum of 15 years of relevant work experience in the tertiary education sector with substantial experience at supervisory level;
  • Highly independent administrator with strong leadership financial and staff management skills;
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills with high proficiency of English and Chinese (including Putonghua);
  • Well-versed in data analytics and application of GenAI tools; and
  • Relevant experience in managing large-scale campaigns and developing admission related systems would be an advantage.

The initial appointment will be offered on a fixed-term contract of three years. Re-appointment thereafter will be subject to performance review and mutual agreement.

Salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience.
