Executive Officer ()
The appointee is expected to provide a wide spectrum of assistance to the Head of Department and plays a vital role in the smooth and efficient operation of the department in the following areas including but not limited to:
- Serve as a secretary to the Head of Department;
- Manage the Head of Departments calendar including scheduling meetings and appointments;
- Conduct initial vetting and screening of documents submitted for the Heads review and approval;
- Provide logistical support for departmental events academic visitors and external guests including travel arrangements and hospitality;
- Assist in matters related to human resources and finance;
- Compile data/information/statistics and draft correspondence and reports;
- Handle enquiries and requests from internal and external stakeholders; and
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
- A bachelors degree with preferably at least three yearsof work with a masters degree and experience in the tertiary industry may have fewer years of work experience;
- Be meticulous organised and self-motivated and able to work independently and multitasking;
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills in spoken and written English and Chinese including Cantonese and Putonghua;
- Excellent organisational and time management skills with the ability to prioritise tasks and work under pressure;
- With a good command of spoken and written English and Chinese including Putonghua; and
- Skilful in Microsoft Office applications including Word Excel and PowerPoint with a solid foundation in basic computer knowledge.
Shortlisted candidates will be invited to attend a written assessment. The initial appointment will be made on a fixed-term contract of two years. Re-appointment thereafter is subject to performance review mutual agreement and availability of funding.
Salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience.
