How we work at Vertice Engineering
Collaboration and transparency are at the core of how we work. We keep it simple - no unnecessary management layers just direct connections between business and engineering. Hierarchies dont get in the way instead - we keep things flat flexible and focused on what works. This is how we do it:
  • Autonomous Teams - Our small teams (made up of Frontend Backend Fullstack and QA) operate without traditional tech leads or managers. They decide how they work - whether its stand-ups prioritization or project management methods. Teams are assigned areas/goals/problems where they can make the biggest impact yet they dont own any part of the code so they can basically work on any part of the product.
  • People Managers -You wont be left figuring things out alone. Our People Managers with psychology backgrounds focus on your growth well-being and career support while keeping Vertices flat collaborative culture strong. Theyre here to encourage open communication support conflict resolution and help ensure you thrive.
  • Chapters -Specialists still need to stay aligned. Chapters bring together people with similar expertise - like Frontend Test Automation or Release - to share best practices standards common sense and they keep the knowledge flowing across teams - directly!
Your Role at Vertice:

Reporting to the VP of Engineering and working closely with the rest of the Development team you will help us manage our projects and continuously improve our performance in that area. We have a manager-less organizational structure and autonomous teams. Our goal is to together with you optimize their performance keep it sustainable and transparent. For some teams you will be their coach while you may be the example to follow for others when you roll up your sleeves and help them directly.
Requirements
  • You want to be surrounded by people who are as passionate as you are about Agile projects discipline and continuous improvement.
  • You enjoy learning new approaches in this area finding how they can help us to be more efficient and then training others.
  • You have proven experience in the field of Agile methods software development projects reporting tracking of goals and training of staff.
  • You love to have discussions with your colleagues (not only in English) and are fluent in Czech/Slovak.
as part of our team youll have the following responsibilities:
  • Coaching and mentoring team members on Agile principles values and practices to foster a culture of continuous improvement and better organization.
  • Assisting teams with Agile practices such as stand-ups planning and retrospectives when needed.
  • Monitoring and tracking team metrics and progress providing feedback and insights to help teams optimize processes and deliver value on time.
