Job Description
SUMMARY:
This position consists of assisting Spanish-speaking applicants through every aspect of the application process including translating the application and guiding students with creating and submitting documents. The student worker will report to the director. This position is for a semester.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- The student must speak Spanish
- Follow up with applicants about applying to our program
- Meet with students on Zoom and guide them through every page of the application process (this includes application for transcript evaluation)
- Keep a detailed record of where applicants are in the application process
- Guide students in fulfilling all requirements for admission to our program
REQUIRED DATES:
- The student worker may be required to attend information nights (a recruiting event).
THE IDEAL CANDIDATE:
- Current student enrolled at Vanguard University in good standing.
- Vibrant belief in Jesus Christ with ample evidence of personal discipleship.
- Preferred Major/Minor: Theology
- Maintain minimum grade point average of 3.0 each term.
- Demonstrated commitment as a team player to support and collaborate with faculty staff peers and external constituents as well as the initiative and ability to work independently.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills that will result in effective collaboration.
COMPENSATION:
This position is 10 hours per week at a rate of $20 per hour.
