Job Summary:
The Technical Services Specialist role is a contract-to-hire position focused on leading and managing software solutions with a blend of people management and hands-on technical responsibilities. The specialist will oversee the direction implementation and support of software solutions ensuring they meet business requirements and systems goals. This includes managing projects evaluating software maintaining systems and collaborating with various IT teams.

Responsibilities:
- Lead coach and mentor staff to achieve expected results.
- Manage and provide direction in support of business operations.
- Ensure applications meet business requirements and resolve system issues.
- Review and analyze existing applications for effectiveness and efficiency developing improvement strategies.
- Manage assigned projects.
- Research and recommend software products and services.
- Evaluate install configure test deploy and maintain applications and systems software.
- Assist the team with hands-on technical and operational responsibilities.
- Coordinate feasibility studies for software and system products.
- Collaborate with IT teams and external service providers to ensure a stable secure and well-performing environment.
- Analyze documentation and technical specifications of new applications.
- Negotiate contracts with software and service providers.
- Liaise with software suppliers for problem resolution.
- Maintain an inventory of software and systems assets.
- Develop and communicate training and documentation for end users.
- Monitor identify and resolve complex infrastructure and application problems.
- Manage and remediate security vulnerabilities.
- Adhere to Incident Problem Configuration and Change Management processes.
Required Skills & Certifications:
- Proven experience in overseeing the direction implementation and support of software solutions.
- Strong project management skills.
- Direct hands-on experience with automated software management tools.
- Strong knowledge of multi-tiered applications software quality assurance best practices and methodologies including automated SDLC pipelines.
- Experience with AWS Public Cloud Infrastructure including infrastructure as code (CloudFormation CodeCommit CodePipeline).
- Extensive experience with administering and maintaining core infrastructure and software applications.
- Technically fluent in scripting languages including Powershell.
- Working knowledge of network and computer operating systems including Windows and Linux.
- Excellent understanding of the organization s goals and objectives.
- Knowledge of applicable data security/privacy policies.
- Bachelors Degree
