ElectroNet Consulting is redefining the future of energy across Australasia with smart sustainable designs. We are looking for a Digital Engineering (DE) Manager & Design Draughtsperson to lead our BIM and design draughting services helping us deliver best-in-class solutions for our clients across the energy and infrastructure sectors.

About the Role

As a key technical leader within our team you will:

Lead BIM and Digital Design Projects

  • Lead BIM model development across multiple disciplines
  • Implement and manage project-specific BIM Execution Plan (BEP).
  • Oversee BIM delivery from concept to completion ensuring model coordination and data integrity.

Deliver Professional Engineering Draughting Services

  • Produce detailed 2D and 3D CAD-based designs and visualisations that support engineering clarity and client understanding.
  • Carry out electrical design draughting in line with current industry practices and standards.
  • Prepare and manage a wide variety of drawing types including but not limited to: Civil and structural and BIM Models site layouts substation single line diagrams AC and DC schematics etc

Drive Innovation and Team Development

  • Develop high-quality visualisations using digital technologies to bring engineering designs to life and avoid ambiguities.
  • Provide guidance and training in the use of CAD and BIM software to support upskilling within the team.
  • Actively support the growth of ElectroNets professional BIM service offering through innovation and continuous improvement.

About You

You will be an experienced design draughtsperson (with an engineering qualification or suitable equivalent) with a passion for CAD draughting and associated disciplines and eager to share your knowledge and skills in software and technologies.

We are also looking for someone who:

  • has strong experience in digital engineering BIM coordination and CAD-based design
  • is proficient with relevant tools such as AutoCAD Revit Civil 3D Inventor or similar
  • a collaborative mindset with leadership and mentoring skills
  • a passion for precision innovation and client satisfaction
  • is adaptable and can learn new skills quickly
  • has the ability to work efficiently and effectively with minimal supervision
  • enjoys working within a diverse team
  • is innovative and can identify new business and technical opportunities
