We are on the lookout for an experienced Traffic Management Department Manager to join our team in the this role youll be responsible for ensuring the safety and success of all aspects of the department under your watch. Your responsibilities will include delivering quality work to our clients and our people forward planning resource organisation and utilising your teams strengths to the max to achieve unparalleled results.

In addition to the above you will:

  • Developing the traffic management team and fostering a positive team environment through strong leadership

  • Leading a safety-first approach across the business in line with Fulton Hogans Living Safely 2.0 culture

  • Be aware of and oversee contractual procedures for managing changes to scope of work for direct work and sub-contractor agreements

  • Ensure forward planning organising and ordering of contract subbies materials equipment and people

  • Overseeing pricing of work and preparation of tenders quotes and estimates

  • Financial management of your department and ownership of all reporting requirements including SQTE and financial performance

  • Key accountability for all aspects of the operational side of the department including plant and subcontractors

  • Driving department growth and sustainability

Were looking for someone with:

  • Current drivers licence preferably class 2 (light/heavy vehicles)

  • Significant Traffic Management industry experience

  • Full understanding of all Traffic Management methods systems and techniques

  • STMS Level 1 2 & 3 (desired but not essential)

  • Proven leadership skills and experience managing and developing teams

  • A drive to supply a high level of service regionally while building a team environment

  • A solution-oriented and hands-on approach

  • Strong financial and business acumen

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • Ability to build and maintain effective relationships at all levels

  • A passion to succeed in business management

  • High computer literacy
