We are looking for a Business Development Manager to join the CIU team based in Aberdeen.
The primary focus of this role is to drive growth and increase sales revenue across the UK Norway and Africa by identifying and securing new business opportunities. While maintaining and strengthening relationships with existing clients and partners is essential the main focus will be on expanding the companys footprint in key international markets.
The Business Development Manager will be responsible for executing sales activities in alignment with the agreed business development strategy and annual business plans ensuring consistent progress toward revenue and market expansion goals.
This role will report to the Director CIU.
The main tasks include but are not limited to:
- Achieve annual sales targets for assigned regions/countries.
- Identify and secure new clients and drive business growth.
- Manage and develop relationships with existing clients and partners regions.
- Develop and maintain a forward-looking pipeline of opportunities with a six-month outlook ensuring regular updates in Pipedrive (CRM system).
- Identify and support partners in generating sales through remote and in-person marketing and sales presentations.
- Coordinate in-country visits to meet with partners and clients to review progress and explore new business opportunities.
- Set KPIs and review monthly/quarterly performance targets with partners to monitor and improve outcomes.
- Represent CIU professionally at conferences trade shows and networking events to promote offerings and gather market intelligence.
- Develop and execute regional sales strategies pursuit plans and growth tactics for CIU including competitor analysis.

- Develop business in new sectors and industries in line with the business strategy.

- Develop and retain positive relationships with new and existing customers and foster positive relationships within the organisation.
- Follow and enhance the CIU growth strategy.
- Ability and willingness to travel regularly to meet with and present solution to partners and clients.
- Recognise and adhere to all Company and HSEQ policies internally and externally.
Key Requirements Skills & Attributes:
- Proven sales or technical sales experience
- Strong understanding of technical products and solutions and the ability to articulate complex technical concepts (company specific technical training will be provided)
- Willingness and ability to travel on a regular basis
- Proficiency in CRM software and sales tools
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills particularly presentation skills
- Strong ability to build long term relationships
- Strategic thinking and problem-solving abilities
- Commercial awareness and strong negotiation/closing skills
- Ability to cold call and generate meetings

- Degree qualification desirable but not essential
