Job Summary

Clarity are currently recruiting for an agency Advanced Nurse Practitioner for a Virtual Command Centre in Dublin. This is a great opportunity for an experienced nurse with a passion for emergency medicine and wants to work as part of a new and exciting initiative.

The ideal candidate should be/have:

Registered with NMBI on the Advanced Registered Practice Nurse Division of the register
Have a minimum of 3 years recent experience working in an acute care setting
Have experience taking clinical accountability for acute care patients from units
such as EDs Minor Injury Units acute medical units etc.
Be competent to manage your own acute care caseload of patients with remote support from an ED consultant.
Have telemedicine/Virtual care experience (Desirable)

Responsibilities:

Conduct virtual patient consultations using video conferencing or telephonic means
Diagnose and treat acute episodic or chronic illnesses
Prescribe medications and other treatment modalities
Perform and interpret diagnostic tests such as lab work and x-rays
Provide patient education about illness prevention disease management and health promotion
Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive care
Document patient care using electronic medical records
Refer patients to appropriate specialists when necessary
Hold clinical responsibility for managing and discharging patients from the remote
observation unit.
