About the role

This is a full time fixed term contract role for 12 months to cover maternity leave.

Barnets 0-19 Early Help Hubs bring together what were our former Childrens Centres Family Support Team Youth service Early years service and former CAF team into one integrated service. Offering interventions across the continuum of need- including parenting programmes youth activities through to leading on more complex cases such as those stepping down from Social Care or joint work on statutory cases.

Our Early Help services are designed to put the child first and promote resilience in children young people and families. The Service aims to provide timely and effective early intervention in order to prevent situations from escalating and to promote positive outcomes for children.

The Hub Access Officers is a pivotal front-line role and they are the first port of call for our families. 0-19 Hub Access Officers provide access support outreach and reception services within an Early Help Hub and support to the Hub Business Manager. The role is responsible for ensuring that services delivered in the hub are effectively supported monitored and focused to meet the needs of families with children 0-19 Years in a range of delivery venues.


You will provide an efficient and welcoming access point for families accessing a range of Early Help services across the early help hub working as part of a team of staff providing support for effective service delivery.

You will be an effective administrator carrying out administrative duties as directed.

You will support the identification and registration of families with children 0-19 Years within the Hub working alongside 0-19 Early Help Practitioners to encourage and monitor access to provision to ensure that emerging needs are met at the earliest opportunity and access data is correctly recorded and up to date.

The successful candidate will have demonstrable skills including taking responsibility for health and safety and premises issues and other related functions to contribute to a co-ordinated team approach to child safety and well-being.
