Are you a seasoned sales professional with a passion for building strong customer relationships in the chemical industry Clariant a global leader in specialty chemicals is seeking an experienced Account Manager to join our Industrial Applications team in Mexico. This is your opportunity to make a significant impact in a dynamic market!

As an Account Manager for Industrial Applications you will be responsible for managing our portfolio in the coatings lubricants and industrial specialties segments primarily serving automotive industry clients. You will build strong relationships with key customers identify growth opportunities and ensure exceptional customer satisfaction.


Responsibilities

  • Manage and develop relationships with customers in the Mexican market
  • Oversee contract negotiations pricing strategies and override management
  • Collaborate with Business Development teams in a multi-point customer approach
  • Drive growth by expanding share of wallet and identifying new business opportunities
  • Provide accurate and timely sales forecasts and market insights
  • Proactively address and mitigate churn risks
  • Maintain comprehensive CRM records and develop new business pipelines
  • Coordinate with technical teams to ensure customer needs are met effectively

Requirements

  • Experience:8 years of experience in customer portfolio management with technical sales of chemical raw materials
  • Industry Knowledge:Experience in Industrial Applications market (coatings lubricants industrial specialties) is a significant advantage
  • Education: College degree in Chemistry Chemical Engineering or related field
  • Languages:Fluent in English and Spanish (mandatory)
  • Skills:
    • Proven track record in account management and sales achievement
    • Strong negotiation and relationship-building abilities
    • Business acumen and commercial creativity
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
    • Strong self-management abilities and ability to prioritize tasks independently
    • Adaptability resilience and agility in a dynamic market environment
