Job Description
Responsibilities
- Administer maintain and optimize SQL Server databases (2016)
- Monitor performance tune queries and manage indexes and statistics
- Implement and manage backup recovery and high availability strategies
- Performsystem administration tasks including patching scripting and server configuration
- Automate routine tasks using PowerShell or other scripting tools
- Collaborate with developmentand infrastructure teams to support application deployments
- Ensure database and system security through access controls and auditing
- Troubleshoot and resolve database and server issues in production and non-production environments
- Document procedures configurations and best practices
Qualifications
- Minimum of 8 years experiencewith a Bachelors degree in Computer Science Information Systems or related field
- 8 years of experience as a SQL Server DBA
- A current Top Secret security clearance with SCI eligibility and the ability to obtain a polygraph.
- Strong proficiency in T-SQL query optimization and database design
- Solid understanding of Windows Server administration
- Proficiency in PowerShell or other scripting languages
- Familiarity with backup tools monitoring systems and disaster recovery planning
- Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills
- Excellent communication and documentation abilities
- Knowledge of SSIS SSRS or SSAS
- Experience using NiFi for ETL workflows
- Familiarity with Linux environments
- Exposure to DevOps tools and CI/CD pipelines
