Position Summary Facilities Manager is responsible for the overall management of maintenance operations and staff with direction organization and advice as needed. Ensure that all areas assigned to be cleaned are done in a timely fashion and to satisfaction. Assist staff as needed and keep all products and supplies in stock and maintain a cost-effective budget. Oversees contractors for facility projects and renovations in conjunction with the Facilities Director. Essential Functions include the following. Other duties may be assigned. Directs and assigns tasks to maintenance personnel from work orders submitted and recommends when outside sub-contractors are needed. Responsible for the maintenance support and evaluation of the risk management program to comply with insurance health and safety regulations including preventive maintenance of the physical plant equipment and vehicles. Establishes operational procedures to comply with insurance health and safety regulations and to guard against fire theft vandalism and illegal entry. Ensures compliance with applicable building and safety codes hazardous waste disposal OSHA and hazardous materials. Responsible for the maintenance and operation of the campus fire alarm systems and fire protection systems. Interprets OHBs policies to staff and enforces safety regulations. Directs and assists maintenance personnel with such duties as snow removal repairing sprinkler systems mowing lawns maintaining trees and plants and repairing motor vehicles. Analyzes and resolves work problems or assists workers in solving work problems. Oversees the duties and records of the OHBs motor pool. Perform such duties as painting buildings repairing equipment replacing defective parts and repairing plumbing and electrical problems. Planning organizing and directing team members to ensure the highest degree of staff and client satisfaction. Knowledge of OSHA safety standards for chemical usage and updated SDS. Ensure the proper maintenance of all equipment. Makes arrangements for repairs and/or replacement. Help in the training and hiring of new hires. Coordinates work assignments and assists with inventory and supplies. Coordinate general audits and inspections on campus. Ensures all staff under direct supervision fulfill their annual training requirements. Required Experience: Must be 21 years of age. Must possess a valid drivers license with a good driving record and current automobile insurance and the ability to pass an extensive background check including drug screen. Bachelors Degree preferred Five years experience in various technical areas such as construction plumbing electrical and mechanical HVAC systems. Supervisory experience preferred. Five years of facility management required. 3rd Grade Engineers License is required. Or must be obtained within 1 year. Ability to use various hand and electrical tools. Experience working in a multiple-building facility is preferred. Basic knowledge of first aid and safety. Ability to effectively interact with sensitivity and responsiveness to cultural differences present in the organizations service population both individually and in groups.
