The Role

As aSales Development Representativefor the DBSS division you will play a key role in driving pipeline growth by identifying researching and qualifying new business opportunities within target verticals. Your primary focus will be on generating high-quality leads through outbound engagement strategic outreach and collaboration with the sales and marketing teams. This role is crucial in supporting our go-to-market strategy and enabling the sales team to convert opportunities effectively.

The ideal candidate is proactive organized and motivated to increase sales. They have strong communication skills and a curious mindset with the ability to quickly understand and articulate the value of our digital solutions including cloud infrastructure managed services and modern workplace technologies. A background in sales or marketing is strongly desirable.

Responsibilities include:

  • Willing to familiarize yourself with the companys vision and mission seeking to accomplish set goals and objectives.
  • Conducting market research and identifying potential clients.
  • Research and identify new prospects within DBSSs core industries and solution areas.
  • Initiate outbound calls emails and social engagement to qualify leads and set meetings for the sales team.
  • Collaborate with marketing to execute lead generation campaigns and follow-up strategies.
  • Engage with prospects to understand their needs and pain points and effectively position DBSS workshops & solutions.
  • Work closely with the Business Development Managers to hand off qualified opportunities.
  • Assist in developing outreach messaging email templates and call scripts aligned to target segments.
  • Support lead nurturing through follow-ups and targeted communication workflows.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date lead records and activity tracking in the CRM system.
  • Monitor industry trends and activity to identify new areas of opportunity.
  • Assist with drafting business plans sales pitches presentations reference material and other documents as required.
  • Demonstrate strong interpersonal skills with the ability to engage effectively with various levels of management staff and clients.

Required Skills and Professional Experience

  • 12 years of experience in a lead generation inside sales or business development (preferably in IT or B2B environments).
  • A track record of delivering results exceeding performance targets and contributing to business growth
  • Demonstrate a strong bias for action with a focus on delivering exceptional customer satisfaction and timely follow-through.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport quickly.
  • Comfortable making cold calls and sending outbound messages to new contacts.

Preferred Skills and Professional Experience

  • Background or understanding of digital business solutions such as cloud services IT infrastructure and managed services is a plus.
  • Basic knowledge and use of GenAI tools like Copilot or Genesis
  • Strong organization and project management skills.
  • Friendly and personable demeanour
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and relevant software.
  • Familiarity with CRM systems (e.g. HubSpot Salesforce) and lead tracking processes.
