WHAT IS THE JOB
The Merchandising Assistant works with the Mashburn Merchandising and Planning Teams to assist in the buying process manage inventory analyze selling and evaluate future product opportunities. This position is dynamic and fast-paced and requires forging trusted cross-functional partnerships. The Merchandising & Planning team ensures that the company brings in the right product at the right time at the right amount at the right price. This position is a full-time salary non-exempt role based in Atlanta.
WHAT ARE THE RESPONSIBILITIES
- Assist the mens and womens merchandising and buying teams with hindsight preparation weekly selling recaps and analysis of product strategy performance
- Assist with SKU building and purchase order maintenance
- Assist with the management of seasonal product assortment tools
- Participate in weekly store feedback calls; react and execute accordingly
- Conduct thorough competitive analysis and make informed recommendations based on findings
- Partner with cross-functional partners to execute and deliver results
WHAT ARE THE ESSENTIAL SKILLS
- Passion for product and an interest in telling a story with numbers
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel
- Working knowledge of retail math
- Ability to build collaborative relationships with cross-functional partners
- Is a motivated resourceful problem-solver and team player with a no task is too small attitude
- Approaches situations with positivity flexibility and creativity even under pressure with tight deadlines
- Has an entrepreneurial spirit & enthusiasm for growing with Mashburn
