Job Description

AWMA is looking for a driven Project Manager looking to take ownership of diverse and challenging projects in a dynamic environment. Due to the continuous business growth this exciting opportunity has opened up for an experienced Project Manager to join the expanding team.

This role will be worked full-time onsite in our office in Cohuna (Northern Victoria).

The Position:

As a Project Manager at AWMA you will manage a portfolio of projects ensuring successful delivery in accordance with our Integrated Management System (IMS). You will collaborate with internal teams suppliers contractors and clients to meet project goals. This role demands a hands-on approach to managing project timelines budgets and deliverables and maintaining excellent client relationships.

As you will be working on fully customised products for each project there will be a high-level of stakeholder management required for this role so strong attention to detail and communication skills are a must. Importantly AWMA is looking for a personable team player who will work well within the existing team and collaborate as required to get the best results for clients.

Responsibilities:

  • Be the main point of contact for all internal and external enquiries for the projects being managed.
  • Take ownership of allocated projects ensuring detailed understanding of client requirements costings timelines and contractual obligations.
  • Negotiate with customers contractors engineering consultants to ensure successful manufacture and application of product.
  • Allocate timelines to the internal designers to ensure all engineering and design requirements are satisfied as per project specifications.
  • Work with internal procurement factory store and admin team to ensure material for jobs arrive on time for manufacture.
  • Keep track of the projects in each stage & provide reportings to customers accordingly.
  • Support completion of solutions to ensure successful delivery of the project.
  • Oversee project installations and collaborate with AWMAs installation contractors.
  • Deliver projects within budget and deadlines while meeting quality and safety standards.
  • Provide post-project reports on costs timelines and resource allocations to identify improvement opportunities.

Qualifications:

  • Must have 3 years in a PM or similar role
  • Strong experience in manufacture background.
  • Mechanical background qualification in mechanical field will be highly regarded.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skill..
  • Strong time management skills and demonstrated ability to meet deadline.
  • Strong business acumen and understanding of the manufacturing industry would be an advantage.
  • Strong customer service focus

Some travel will be required as part of this role and a current drivers license is essential.
