The School of Physical and Mathematical Sciences (SPMS) at NTU Singapore hosts research and education activities in two divisions: Division of Mathematical Sciences (MAS) and Division of Physics and Applied Physics (PAP). MAS covers diverse topics ranging from pure mathematics to the applications of mathematics in cryptography computing business and finance. PAP covers many areas of fundamental and applied physics including quantum information condensed matter physics biophysics and photonics. Over the years SPMS has attracted talented individuals from around the world and Singapore to join as scientific leaders and researchers.
Join the laboratory of David Wilkowski at SPMS. We are seeking a Project Officer to contribute to a project focused on developing quantum processors at Nanyang Technological University. The incumbent will manage the administrative part of the project in close collaboration with the Principal Investigator the other group members and the various administrative offices of the university.
Key Responsibilities:
Execute finance budgeting manpower planning grant administration and policy interpretation to ensure smooth and efficient operations.
Oversee procurement activities including raising Purchase Requests (PR) Purchase Orders (PO) and Good Receipts (GR) to streamline purchasing operations.
Plan and execute events such as industry and academic seminars colloquia and conferences ensuring successful delivery and engagement.
Manage logistics for local and international meetings and events including travel arrangements scheduling and fulfilling event-specific requirements.
Compile analyze and prepare reports and claims with detailed analytical insights to support decision-making processes.
Maintain and update the website ensuring it reflects current and accurate information while adhering to organizational standards.
Job Requirements:
Bachelor Degree in Business Administration Project Management or another related field.
Minimum 2 years of relevant experience in research academic or administrative settings.
Proficiency in Microsoft applications Word Excel PowerPoint. Experience in SAP and Ariba is considered an added advantage.
