Essential to this mission is ensuring compliance across various regulatory landscapes including intellectual property (IP) laws trademark regulations the Digital Services Act (DSA) and privacy laws. Youll architect solutions that safeguard millions of users drive privacy-focused innovation and lead efforts to monitor identify and remediate potential compliance risks.
We are looking for a candidate with passion for building secure systems and fostering a culture of compliance and collaboration. The ideal candidate will have experience in secure software development and a strong ability to mentor and lead cross-functional initiatives. Were seeking an experienced engineer to work in our compliance team with a focus on these important areas.
What youll do:
- Work with a team of engineers and compliance specialists dedicated to crafting solutions that ensure Pinterests adherence to IP content youth and privacy regulations.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Legal Ops Product Management and Data Privacy to design and implement compliance solutions that align with Pinterests objectives.
- Develop and maintain tools and processes to monitor compliance and mitigate risks.
- Manage project timeline to ensure timely delivery of compliance-related initiatives.
- Design develop and implement scalable systems to address the need for compliance.
What were looking for:
- Python or Java programming skillsets experience.
- A track record of developing high-quality software with high reliability.
- Proven ability to manage and deliver technical initiatives to achieve high-impact outcomes.
- Well-versed in agile development methodologies.
- A strong understanding of the regulatory landscape is preferred but not required.
- Bachelors/Masters degree in a relevant field such as computer science or equivalent experience.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to translate complex technical concepts into clear actionable insights.

In-Office Requirement Statement:
- We let the type of work you do guide the collaboration style. That means were not always working in an office but we continue to gather for key moments of collaboration and connection.
- This role will need to be in the office for in-person collaboration 1-2 times every 6-months and therefore can be situated anywhere in the country.
