At PwC our people in tax services focus on providing advice and guidance to clients on tax planning compliance and strategy. These individuals help businesses navigate complex tax regulations and optimise their tax positions.

Those in tax compliance at PwC will focus on validating clients compliance with tax laws and regulations. You will review and analyse financial data prepare and file tax returns and assist businesses in meeting their tax obligations while minimising risks of non-compliance.

With your growing knowledge of how business works you play an important role in identifying opportunities that contribute to the success of our Firm. The Opportunity

When you join PwC Acceleration Centers (ACs) you step into a pivotal role focused on actively supporting various Acceleration Center services from Advisory to Assurance Tax and Business our innovative hubs youll engage in challenging projects and provide distinctive services to support client engagements through enhanced quality and innovation. Youll also participate in dynamic and digitally enabled training that is designed to grow your technical and professional skills.

As part of the Tax Services team you lead the discussions to assign work to be processed by Associates and Senior Associates based on capacity and capabilities. As a Manager you supervise develop and coach teams manage client service accounts and drive client engagement workstreams by independently solving and analyzing complex problems to develop top-quality deliverables. This role focuses on coaching and providing guidance to Associates and Senior Associates including conducting quality reviews while making sure exceptional work meets client service expectations.

Responsibilities

- Demonstrates comprehensive tax technical skills including partnership tax forms

- Demonstrates considerable experience identifying and addressing client needs

- Lead and facilitate discussions to allocate tasks based on team capacity and skills

- Supervise and mentor teams to deliver exceptional deliverables

- Manage client service accounts and oversee client engagement workstreams

- Provide guidance and conduct quality reviews for Senior Associates and Managers

- Independently analyze complex issues to develop practical solutions

- Meet client service expectations consistently

- Foster a culture of continuous learning and development

- Uphold the firms standards and principles in client interactions

What You Must Have

- 7 years of experience in general accounting and taxes - preferably with exposure to US tax

- Bachelors Degree in Accounting - Must be a Certified Public Accountant (CPA)

- Oral and written proficiency in English is required

Important There is a Tax Credential Policy that states to hold the position of Manager Senior Manager and Director the person must hold an active primary credential of either (1) US CPA or foreign equivalent or (2) US Enrolled Agent in good standing with an appropriate regulatory body. Our current Tax staff who do not have a qualifying credential are developing plans to obtain one in a reasonable time frame.

For candidates in process that DO have the credential once onboarded it must be submitted and kept up to date in the appropriate system of record.

For candidates in process from now on that do NOT have the credential please review the following talking points and next steps:

  • If a candidate wishes to continue in the process it will be their professional responsibility to complete the appropriate acceptable credential exams and to obtain their acceptable credential as early in your career as possible.
  • Once onboarded they will be required to complete a Work Plan with the launch of this credentialing policy. Work Plans are intended to be a dynamic document that is fluid with your progression at the firm and your educational and credential aspirations.
  • The new hire MUST put a work plan on file in the appropriate system of record and submit their license applications within 45 days of their start date.
  • The new hire will have a set grace period to obtain the new primary credential. This varies by credential and details can be found in the policy.

The new hire will not be able to progress in their career at PwC without this credential.
