North Coast Local Land Services (LLS) is looking to create a recruitment pool for ongoing and temporary roles that may become available for filling over the next eighteen months. The Land Services Officer role will give you an opportunity to take the next step in your Natural Resource Management Plant Biosecurity Sustainable Agriculture Invasive Pest Management and/or Agricultural career. About Local Land Services
Local Land Services (LLS) is an Executive Agency related to the cluster. It provides quality customer-focused services to landholders and the community across New South Wales. This regionally based organisation brings together a wide range of service and advisory functions including agriculture biosecurity natural resource management land management biodiversity & emergency services.
Our team is there when it matters on the ground helping landholders with knowledge networks and local experience.
About the Role
Land Services Officer roles deliver front line services to farmers community groups and the broader community so that our landscapes can be managed to be healthy sustainable and productive. It can include the provision of natural resource management advice agricultural sustainability and productivity advice and extension services delivery of best practice invasive pest management support on native vegetation management including delivery of land management regulations and advice and supporting emergency response and recovery services.
In this role you will be working closely with a variety of stakeholders including farmers community groups and local and state government to develop partnerships collaborate manage projects conduct field work and monitor evaluate and report on outcomes.

About You
Our ideal candidates will be enthusiastic motivated and keen to learn new skills. They will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills and the capacity to engage with rural landholders industry groups and other key stakeholder. You will be flexible adaptable and able to work across all LLS functional areas where required including; agriculture environment invasive pests biosecurity and emergency management.
You will have a strong understanding of agriculture in the north coast region understanding the challenges and with a good knowledge in natural resource management and biosecurity. You should have demonstrated experience in delivering effective programs to primary producers and a diverse range of stakeholders.
