Onsite/Local (Atlanta ONLY) Desktop Support Engineer/System Admin (Tax Clearance Letter must) with software/hardware/network/mobile installation/troubleshooting database/patch management security experience
Location: Atlanta GA (DOR)
Duration: 12 Months
Candidates MUST be local to Metro Atlanta.
Skills:
Bachelors degree in a related field from an accredited college or university Required
Experience as a System Administrator Required 3 Years
Experience with databases networks (LAN WAN) and patch management Required 3 Years
Experience installing and configuring software hardware and networks Required 3 Years
Experience monitoring system performance and troubleshooting issues. Required 3 Years
Experience managing network servers and technology tools. Required 3 Years
Job Description:
Tax Clearance Letter is required to be considered for this position and MUST be submitted at the time of submission. (Pls review compliance tab for instruction on how the candidate MUST obtain this letter)
Under limited supervision oversees the installation configuration and support to a local area network wide area network internet system computers desktops and/or mobile devices. Recommends equipment improvement or replacement. Serves as highest advanced-level subject matter expert providing authoritative guidance for professional staff. May also serve in a lead role.
Responsibilities include:
Installing and configuring software hardware and networks
Monitoring system performance and troubleshooting issues.
Ensuring security and efficiency of IT infrastructure
Manage network servers and technology tools.
Set up accounts and workstations.
Upgrade systems with new releases and models
Requirements:
Proven experience as a System Administrator
Experience with databases networks (LAN WAN) and patch management
Familiarity with various operating systems and platforms
Resourcefulness and problem-solving aptitude
Excellent communication skills
Qualifications:
Bachelors degree in a related field from an accredited college or university
Other Notes:
DOR will conduct a background check on all candidates considered for the position. Individuals must be compliant with Georgia tax obligations.
