Job Description

The Supervisor Help Desk provides supervision to the technical staff as well as the computer operations staff supporting the University community. This individual coordinate leads and monitors the performance of the technical specialists and support staff and is responsible for modifying or devising new methods techniques and procedures.

Department Specific Functions

1. Knowledge of troubleshooting configuring deploying Apple Devices: iPads Mac products etc.

2. Knowledge of troubleshooting configuring deploying Windows Based Computers.

3. Knowledge of common network troubleshooting practices.

4. Ability to communicate with senior staff and faculty and exercise judgement when to escalate issues to MHBS IT department leadership.

5. Ability and willingness to learn new technologies & processes and recommend with sound reasoning changes or updates in processes.

6. Ability to work nights or weekends if needed.

7. Ability to work a 4/10 schedule (4 day a week / ten hour a day).

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Education:

Associates degree in relevant field. Bachelors degree preferred.

Certification and Licensing:

A Network and/or Security preferred.

Experience:

3-5 years of experience. Any relevant education certifications and/or work experience may be considered.

Knowledge Skills and Attitudes:

Skill in completing assignments accurately and with attention to detail.

Ability to analyze organize and prioritize work under pressure while meeting deadlines.

Ability to process and handle confidential information with discretion.

Ability to work independently and/or in a collaborative environment.

Ability to direct manage implement and evaluate department operations.

Ability to establish department goals and objectives that support the strategic plan.

Ability to lead motivate develop and train others. Ability to effectively plan delegate and/or supervise the work of others.
