This position offers strong opportunities for multidisciplinary collaboration as well as personal career development and advancement. The ideal candidate is a scholarly clinician with excellent interpersonal skills a commitment to multidisciplinary patient care and a focus in clinical addition candidates should be interested in developing and implementing clinical trials for patients with GU malignancies and working across disciplines to advance the field of GU oncology.
Mayo Clinic is known for its high volume exceptional medical surgical and radiation oncology practice in Urologic Oncology spanning its three geographic sites. Physicians work in a team environment with world renowned faculty in Urology Surgical Specialties Radiation Oncology Radiology and Pathology providing multidisciplinary care and novel therapeutic options for patients. The Mayo Clinic Cancer Center is an NCI-designated Comprehensive Cancer Center therefore providing patients with access to a wide variety of diagnostics and clinical trials through our early therapeutics program and national clinical trials networks as well as other clinical trials addition robust bench and translational research serve as an integral component of GU malignancies research at Mayo Clinic. The position carries an academic appointment in the Mayo Clinic College of Medicine rank commensurate with experience.
Board eligibility or board certification in Medical Oncology and eligible for Minnesota state licensure is required.
