Job Summary:
This Medical Assistant position supports a multi-specialty clinic (General Surgery Bariatric Urology Colectomy and Thoracic) by providing clinical and administrative assistance to healthcare providers. The role requires a minimum of two years of experience and involves floating between clinic locations as needed.

Responsibilities:
- Assisting physicians and nurses with clinical procedures and patient care.
- Taking patient vital signs medical histories and documenting information in electronic health records (Cerner).
- Preparing examination rooms and sterilizing instruments.
- Administering medications as directed by a physician.
- Performing basic laboratory tests and phlebotomy.
- Scheduling appointments and managing patient records.
- Answering phones and handling patient inquiries.
- Performing other administrative tasks as needed.
- Floating to different clinic locations as needed.
Required Skills & Certifications:
- Associates Degree or Diploma in Medical Assisting.
- Current Medical Assistant certification from AAMA AMT NHA ARMA NCCT or NRCMA.
- BLS certification.
- Minimum two years of experience as a Medical Assistant (five years preferred).
- Adult and pediatric experience.
- Ability to float between clinic locations.
Preferred Skills & Certifications:
- Bilingual skills.
Special Considerations:
- Mandatory floating between clinic locations.
- Must live within 75 miles of the facility.
- 5-day maximum return-to-office (RTO) policy with no consecutive days excluding weekends and holidays. No RTO the day before or after a holiday.
- Shift: 5x8s 9:00 AM - 5:30 PM Monday - Friday.
- Parking cost applies at Juvenile Temporary Detention Center (JTDC); shuttle service available.
Scheduling:
- Monday-Friday 9:00 AM - 5:30 PM.
- 40 guaranteed hours per week.
- Shift assignments are determined by facility needs; mandatory floating is required.
