Job Description

Job Title: Locum - Physician - Traumatic Brain Injury/General Medicine

Join our dedicated team of physicians in beautiful Maine!

We are seeking physicians to conduct a mix of General Medicine and Traumatic Brain Injury exams. Our practice is committed to serving our nations veterans providing essential care through a combination of interviews and physical assessments. Ideal for those looking to make a positive impact while enjoying the picturesque landscapes of Maine.

Flexible opportunities are available in Portland and Lewiston allowing for one-day-a-week commitments at each location.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive General Medicine and Traumatic Brain Injury exams.
  • Perform interview-based evaluations with some physical assessments including range of motion and muscle strength testing.
  • Complete one-time non-treatment C&P exams and separation health assessments.
  • Submit standardized reporting/DBQs within 48 hours of exam completion.
  • Document evaluations in the provider portal and conduct regular administrative followups.
  • Maintain accurate records and consult on medical opinions as needed.
  • Participate in required training and certifications for continued professional development.

Qualifications:

  • Board Certification in Neurology Neurosurgery PM&R or related specialty.
  • Active and unrestricted full medical license in Maine.
  • Proficient in METs testing and evaluating respiratory cardiovascular and neurological conditions.
  • Must have an ownership of a laptop (no Mac) for reporting purposes.
  • Willingness to complete DMA training for certification.
  • Ability to travel to assigned facility and potential other locations within Maine.

License and Certification Requirements:

  • Board Certified in relevant specialty area.
  • Current and unrestricted medical license in the state of Maine.
  • Must be willing to complete DMA training to obtain certification.
