The Sales Executive for the Forwarding Division will be responsible for driving sales and business
development activities focused on forwarding services. This role requires a customer-oriented
professional who can generate leads maintain client relationships and support the sales team in
achieving revenue targets.
Key Responsibilities:
• Identify and generate new business leads within the forwarding division.
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with existing and potential clients.
• Understand customer requirements and propose suitable forwarding solutions.
• Prepare and present quotations negotiate terms and close sales deals.
• Coordinate with internal teams such as operations and logistics to ensure smooth service delivery.
• Monitor market trends and competitor activities to identify new opportunities.
• Maintain accurate records of sales activities and customer interactions in CRM systems.
• Assist in preparing sales reports and forecasts for management review.
• Participate in trade shows networking events and other marketing activities as required.
• Ensure compliance with company policies and industry regulations.
Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration Logistics Supply Chain or related field.
• 1-3 years of experience in sales preferably in forwarding freight forwarding or logistics.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to build and maintain client relationships.
• Strong negotiation and persuasion skills.
• Basic understanding of forwarding and logistics processes.
• Proficiency in MS Office and CRM tools.
Preferred Skills:
• Knowledge of Chennai market and customer base.
• Familiarity with freight forwarding documentation and regulatory requirements.
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
• Result-oriented with a focus on meeting sales targets.
