Job Summary and Responsibilities
This is a PRN role.
As our Clinical Pharmacist at St. Lukes Health - Woodlands Hospital now part of CommonSpirit Health youll help our doctors and nurses safely prescribe and dispense medications to help our patients feel better and recover from their illness or injury.
Youll build trust in these interactions by reviewing every prescription in your queue. We never rely entirely on the computer to check for safety; we always use an expert for the final check. Thats you. Youll review prescriptions for potential drug interactions correct dosing patient allergies or anything that looks unusual in your opinion.
To excel in this role you must enjoy learning new concepts and researching information in real-time to provide solutions for our patients. You should also continually look for ways to go above and beyond for your patients delivering an exceptional experience along with exceptional care.

- Demonstrates ability to document clinical activities and interventions such as consults patient teachings and other patient specific information as defined by policy and procedure.
- Interprets medication orders and/or prescriptions for drug interactions appropriate drug selection and appropriateness. Accurately enters / verifies the order or prescription into the computer system labels and dispenses medications in a timely manner.
- Verifies and checks medications prepared by other pharmacy personnel.
- Communicates drug information to patients and health professionals.
Job Requirements
Required Education and Experience:
- Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy or Doctor of Pharmacy degree
Required Licensure and Certification:
