Indiana Packers Corporation is seeking an Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) to respond to emergencies and treat employees that have been injured or are ill due to work-related or personal. This position will also work closely with other departments to promote adherence to medical and safety protocols. The schedule hours for the EMT position are Monday-Friday with occasional Saturdays 12:30pm - 9:00pm for the second shift.

Responsibilities

• Provide preventative and emergency medical care to injured or ill persons
• Ensure personal well-being
• Understand basic medical / legal principles
• Prepare documentation and reports and maintains records
• Complete probable cause or post-accident assessment of employee
• Ensure OSHA Workers Compensation and other medically necessary compliance
• Function within the scope of medical care as defined protocol and state regional and local regulatory agencies
• Maintain confidential information
• Assist with incident investigations and required documentation
• Perform other duties as needed or required
• Lead emergency medical team when called to the production floor or other facility areas
• Perform other duties as needed or required

Qualifications

• EMT or Paramedic certification or current Indiana LPN license.
• Minimum of 1 years experience as an EMT Paramedic or licensed LPN
• Ability to work in a team-based environment
• Willingness to work flexible hours to provide support while working occasional overtime including weekends
• Must have excellent written and oral communication skills
• Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
• Must have good computer skills including Microsoft Office
• Ability to work in extreme hot cold wet humid and odorous environments
• Uphold company policies and ethical standards
• Ability to work well with people at all levels
• Commitment to follow safety policies and practice
