Job Description

We are hiring an Electrical Engineer on a contract basis to support a project our client is working on. While this is a project-based contract there is a possibility of a permanent hire for the right candidate.

Salary: $40-$50/hr

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and develop electrical drawings for HVAC systems on marine vessels including power distribution local control panels and single-line diagrams
  • Produce and revise electrical schematics wiring diagrams and panel layout drawings using CAD software
  • Ensure all designs meet marine standards customer technical specifications safety regulations (e.g. SOLAS) and classification society requirements (ABS Lloyd s DNV)
  • Collaborate with project managers customer technical representatives and third-party equipment suppliers to support system integration
  • Maintain accurate documentation and drawing records throughout the project lifecycle
  • Identify and resolve technical issues during design and implementation phases
Qualifications
  • Bachelor s degree in Electrical Engineering
  • EIT certification or eligibility
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD or similar CAD software
  • Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication and collaboration abilities
