Job Description

In this role you will leverage your electronics design expertise to develop and test battery monitoring units (BMUs) and battery management units (BMUs) for next-generation consumer electronic products. Your responsibilities will include designing electronic circuits conducting detailed design analysis and selecting electronic parts and integrated circuits to meet performance targets. You will collaborate with suppliers to develop custom parts as needed and design test methodologies to verify the BMU design.

Description:

  • Analyze designs with simulation tools and calculations (e.g. PSPICE ANSYS Verilog) to ensure conformance to requirements.
  • Create IC models and conduct model validation.
  • Validate designs on prototypes to implement the design.
  • Conduct design reviews incorporate team feedback and release design documents for builds.
  • Push the boundaries of technology to maximize performance and minimize volume through modeling and simulation.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Product Design System EE Cell Engineering Firmware Algorithms etc.) to ensure timely and requirement-compliant product development.
  • Investigate and prepare reports on problems or issues.
  • Develop schematics and guide component selection to meet all physical and electrical requirements of BMUs.

Required Skills : Minimum Qualifications o Masters degree in Electrical Engineering o 3 years of experience in analog integrated circuit design (references DACs LDOs SMPSs) Preferred Qualifications o Prior experience in battery management systems and/or power electronics is preferred. o Strong EE fundamentals in electronic circuit design/development with microcontroller-based embedded systems. o Good knowledge of inter-module communications protocols (I2C SMBus SPMI etc.) o Experience with high volume manufacturing including yield analysis and resolution of low Cpk issues. o Knowledge of scripting (Python Shell Unix MATLAB etc.) for test automation and data analysis desired. o Self-starter with excellent time management skills and curious spirit. o Strong documentation and communication skills. o Proven track record working independently under high pressure and comfortable working in a dynamic environment.
