Job Description

Join EAGLE Certification Group where integrity excellence and technical expertise lead the way in third-party certification.

We are currently seeking a qualified Aerospace AS9100 Auditor based in or near Dayton Ohio to perform third-party audits for local aerospace clients. If youre an experienced professional with a strong background in Aerospace and Defense (ASD) and a passion for quality and compliance we want to hear from you.

Key Responsibilities

Audit Planning & Scheduling

  • Coordinate and allocate resources to conduct on-site audits at client locations.

  • Research develop and communicate tailored audit schedules that align with client and regulatory requirements.

On-Site Auditing

  • Lead comprehensive audits including opening meetings document reviews process observations and closing meetings.

  • Identify strengths weaknesses and non-conformities during audits; take detailed and objective notes.

Reporting & Documentation

  • Complete audit reports accurately and thoroughly ensuring timely submission to EAGLEs main office.

  • Review corrective action responses from clients and evaluate their adequacy.

Continuous Learning

  • Stay current with industry standards and requirements through ongoing training and education.

  • Maintain compliance knowledge related to ISO and other applicable standards.

Qualifications

Industry Experience

  • Minimum 4 years of Aerospace and Defense industry experience in the past 10 years in areas such as engineering manufacturing quality or process control.

  • Experience in organizations like major equipment manufacturers integrators regulatory agencies (FAA DoD NASA) or prime contractors.

Audit Experience

  • At least four full-system 2nd or 3rd party QMS/AQMS audits (as team member or leader) including 20 on-site audit days covering all standard requirements.

Certifications & Training

  • Completion of an ASD Lead Auditor Course approved by a TPAB.

  • IAQG-sanctioned training and exam requirements fulfilled.

Skills & Competencies

  • Ability to interpret complex technical processes and assess compliance.

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills across all organizational levels.

  • Detail-oriented with excellent report-writing capabilities.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft 365 and the ability to learn new auditing tools and systems.

  • Collaborative analytical and adaptable in fast-paced auditing environments.
