Job Description

Production Control Planner III

Aerospace industry experience is highly valued as this role requires precision compliance and strong coordination across engineering manufacturing and supply chain teams.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Plan and maintain the master production schedule using the manufacturing information system.

  • Create production plans that minimize inventory levels maximize customer satisfaction balance workloads and support company performance goals.

  • Collaborate with sales production control and manufacturing management to analyze forecasts determine labor loading and assess capacity requirements.

  • Participate in achieving cost and delivery goals while monitoring delivery performance.

  • Expedite and adjust schedules to resolve unforeseen conditions or delays.

  • Develop recovery plans to resolve supply/demand challenges.

  • Communicate and manage production plans and lead times effectively.

  • Manage product life cycle from ramp-up through discontinuation utilizing planning methods such as make-to-stock.

  • Maintain awareness of manufacturing cycles and customer requirements recommending efficiencies such as job consolidation or adjusted quantities.

  • Evaluate impacts of new production techniques expedited orders or schedule changes.

  • Provide management with daily updates on priorities risks and performance metrics.

  • Support special projects related to production control as assigned.

Essential Duties

  • Develop production plans aligned with sales forecasts inventory targets and available capacity.

  • Implement and monitor production schedules to meet delivery commitments.

  • Manage level-loading tools to balance workflow.

  • Review sales forecasts for reasonableness and resolve discrepancies with management.

  • Ensure requirements are met through proactive follow-up with vendors and internal teams.

Education & Experience

  • Minimum 57 years experience in production control or planning; Aerospace industry experience strongly preferred.

  • Strong oral and written communication skills with proven ability to negotiate and build cross-functional relationships.

  • Detail-oriented with excellent organizational skills; able to manage high workloads and shifting priorities.

  • Self-motivated with strong interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate effectively at all organizational levels.
