Job Opportunity: Locum Nurse Practitioner - Surgery - Neurovascular
Join an established health system located in the vibrant city of Richmond Virginia seeking an experienced Nurse Practitioner specializing in Neurovascular Care. This hospital-based role will provide invaluable support during a maternity leave from December 2025 to March 2026. Work collaboratively with a team of three neurosurgeons in a fast-paced environment utilizing the Epic documentation system.
Job Responsibilities:
- Diagnose and treat illnesses.
- Order and interpret diagnostic tests.
- Write prescriptions and manage care coordination.
- Respond as the first point of contact for code stroke alerts within the facility.
- Collaborate with supervising physician who is available by phone at all times.
Qualifications:
- AANP certification is required.
- Active Virginia nursing license is mandatory.
- ACLS and ENLS certifications are required.
- Experience in Neurovascular care is highly preferred; new graduates are not encouraged to apply.
License and Certification Requirements:
- Virginia nursing license (active and valid).
- AANP credential.
- ACLS certification.
