Job Description
Job Title: Locum Physician - Gastroenterology
Summary:
A renowned facility in Lakewood Colorado is seeking a skilled locum physician specializing in gastroenterology to provide holiday coverage starting April 2026. This opportunity requires candidates who are adept in performing ERCP and EUS procedures ensuring high-quality patient care in an inpatient Level 1 trauma setting.
Job Responsibilities:
- Provide gastroenterology consultations and care.
- Perform essential procedures including ERCP EUS and endoscopy.
- Evaluate and manage GI problems and GI bleeds.
- Participate in 24-hour call coverage Monday through Sunday.
- Assist with admissions and manage patient care for 8-10 new patients per day.
- Utilize EMR (EPIC) for patient documentation.
Qualifications:
- Board Certified in Gastroenterology (Required).
- Completion of a Gastroenterology Fellowship (Required).
- Active Colorado medical license or IMLC (LOQ in hand at time of submission).
- Active DEA license required for credentialing.
- Ability to perform ERCP and EUS (required).
- Local or drive-in candidates are highly preferred.
- Clean malpractice and background history is highly preferred.
License and Certification Requirements:
- Board Certification in Gastroenterology.
- Active Colorado License or IMLC.
- Active DEA license.
