About the role
As Senior DevOps Lead you will shape and advance DevOps capabilities across Suncorp driving automation operational excellence and platform efficiency. Youll lead and mentor a team to design and maintain robust CI/CD pipelines collaborate with Agile teams to embed best practices and ensure scalable secure infrastructure. This role champions continuous improvement streamlines workflows and delivers high-quality compliant solutions that accelerate business agility.
What youll do
- Lead and prioritise delivery pipelines aligned with strategic goals ensuring resource efficiency and execution excellence
- Champion Agile and DevOps practices fostering a culture of accountability automation and continuous improvement
- Drive automation-first principles and standardisation to streamline processes improve quality and reduce manual effort
- Mentor and develop team capability promoting a learning culture and innovation
- Lead the development optimisation and maintenance of CI/CD pipelines and related tooling
- Enhance platform monitoring proactively resolve issues and lead incident management effort
What youll bring
- 8 years scripting with Python Shell JavaScript Terraform Ansible and REST API integrations
- 5 years DevOps and CI/CD experience with Jenkins GitHub Actions GitLab CI/CD
- Strong AWS experience: EC2 S3 VPC networking EKS (Kubernetes) and OpenShift
- Skilled in cloud automation scaling monitoring and networking concepts
- Proficient in Git version control and security/monitoring tools like Snyk and Dynatrace
- Experience with Jira Confluence Azure DevOps deployment automation and CI/CD testing
