Rail (Possession) Support Assistant - Join TES 2000 in the North East!

TEShas an excellent opportunity for a Rail (Possession) Support Assistant to join our team in the North East. Were a well-established rail safety company and were looking for dedicated professionals to help us maintain a safe and efficient network.

This is a 0-hour contract with a focus on weekend night shifts. Were ideally looking for candidates based in and around Leeds York Hull Wakefield and the surrounding areas.

Essential Training: IWA and PS Training from 15th to 19th September

To ensure you are fully prepared for the role we are providing dedicated Individual Working Alone (IWA) and Possession Support (PS) training from September 15th to September 19th. Your availability for these dates is essential. After successful completion you will be supported to undertake safety-critical duties as a Rail (Possession) Support Assistant with TES.

What Youll Be Doing:

As a key member of our Possessions Management Department youll be instrumental in managing rail line possessions and ensuring the safety of all staff. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Assisting with the management of the rail line possession as a team member.

  • Attending (S)PICOP and COSS briefings and raising any concerns.

  • Supporting pre-possession checks and being in place at blocking points at least one hour in advance.

  • Monitoring blocking points and placing boards and detonators according to Network Rail guidelines.

  • Carrying out safety audits at worksites on behalf of Network Rail.

  • Assisting with on-site walkouts to identify and address safety concerns.

  • Communicating with (S)PICOP before placing or lifting any protection.

  • Reporting any incidents accidents near misses or concerns immediately.
