Title: Global Lead Expert Taste Modulation for Doehler USA Princeton NJ
Duties:
- Develop model base systems to test the sensory effects for chemosensates taste modulation and functional materials in food and beverage manufacturing.
- Lead the research team in developing stability kinetics models across our food ingredients categories which will ensure performance of Doehler materials through the food stability cycle.
- Create presentation of materials to support emerging technologies in food and beverages production.
- Validate new raw materials from both internal Doehler Innovation teams as well as from outside vendors for the purpose of synergy testing with Doehler products as well as for benchmarking.
- Support Doehlers efforts to establish and adhere to intellectual property rights in the domain of food technology (IP and FTO) for new and existing materials in the public domain.
- Align closely with Doehlers global Innovation and Taste Competence teams and with our Ixora discovery partner to support technology transfer into food and beverage commercialization.
- Establish and develop a laboratory support team to lead the research and development process for Doehlers food and beverage products.
- Conduct kinetics and functionality testing across all NPI (New Product Introduction) platforms inclusive of taste modulation in conjunction with the global team.
- Conduct validation studies for new internal Doehler technologies and competing technology in the public domain.
Requirements: Bachelors Degree in food engineering or alternatively food technology or foreign degree equivalent plus 5 years of progressively responsible work experience as a food technologist or research food scientist in food and beverage manufacturing projects.
